Code of Ethics & Conduct
The ethical framework governing every KST Institute representative — grounded in professional engineering ethics, EU acquis and international business conduct standards.
Core principles
- Integrity. Honesty and consistency between stated values and actions.
- Independence. Freedom from undue influence in every assessment.
- Competence. Acting only within demonstrated competency; continuous professional development.
- Confidentiality. Protection of information entrusted to the Institute.
- Respect for law. Compliance with applicable law in every jurisdiction.
- Respect for people. Dignity, non-discrimination and safe working conditions.
- Environmental responsibility. Climate and ESG considerations embedded in advice.
Prohibited conduct
The Institute prohibits, without exception:
- Bribery, corruption and facilitation payments
- Fraud, misrepresentation and falsification of records
- Insider trading and misuse of confidential information
- Discrimination, harassment and retaliation
- Modern slavery, forced labour and child labour
- Sanctions breaches and illegal export
Gifts and hospitality
The Institute operates a conservative policy on gifts and hospitality. Offers of significant monetary or reputational value are declined or disclosed per the Gifts and Hospitality Register.
Conflicts of interest
All personnel disclose potential conflicts of interest at onboarding, annually and as they arise. See the Conflict of Interest Policy.
Reporting violations
Violations can be reported via the Whistleblowing Channel or to the Ethics & Integrity Committee at ethics@kstinstitute.com. Reports are handled with confidentiality and without retaliation.
Enforcement
Violations result in disciplinary action up to and including termination, contract cancellation and referral to competent authorities where criminal conduct is identified.
